About the Work
Naive Eyes is a song about paralysing anxiety — the demons that move in when you're sixteen and unprepared, and the fight to escape them. Perth folk-rock outfit The Hunting Birds brought that story to their music and handed us the visual problem: how do you put fear and paralysis on screen without it feeling like an illustration?
The answer was stillness. The video is a montage of people trapped in frozen moments, caught between images, struggling to move. No narrative arc, no resolution — just the feeling of being held in place while something pulls at you.
