About the Work
OF WOMB is my first feature film, and it’s a reflection of some of my deepest experiences - a religious upbringing, a curiosity of witches and cults, mixed with the constant, looming fear of my mother’s death.
The Eldest of three sisters decides to keep the death of their bed-ridden mother a secret, manipulating her younger siblings with a cult-like dogma. Her lies and guilt slowly pick away at her as the festering body of The Mother becomes harder to hide. What starts as childish games to pass the time, spirals into dark rituals of faith, blurring the lines between play and prophecy.
