Short engaging social media highlights for an EP

About the Work

A Very Bad, Not Good Misery is a series of short-form visual vignettes created for Kaeda Daze’s EP, designed specifically for social media release. I led concept development and pitching, working closely with the artist to shape distinct visual ideas for each track. I collaborated on final setups and performance direction, and worked alongside my partner, Nirrimi Firebrace, on production design. I filmed, edited, and colour graded all pieces, ensuring visual cohesion across the series while allowing each vignette to retain its own tone and rhythm.

The project translates the EP into five discrete visual vignettes. Two were filmed in a controlled studio environment and the other three were shot on location at the artist’s family farm. Each vignette responds directly to its corresponding track, using stylised production design and dreamy atmospheres to externalise each track's thematic thread. Together, the pieces form a fragmented but cohesive visual companion to the EP: intimate, restrained, and grounded - designed to unfold across social platforms as a series of snapshots rather than a single narrative.
