Perth act Alter Boy are three deaf and hard-of-hearing musicians doing something genuinely radical: expanding what music can be and who it's for. Their work alternates between sound and silence, subverting the traditional listening experience by designing it from a deaf perspective outward. In Death We Wed is a love story drawn from ancient Greek mythology — two gay lovers — delivered entirely without sound, its narrative carried by Auslan performer Laura Bullock.
